Radio Paradise 192 kbps stream problem

I have problems with the 192 kbps stream from Radio Paradise
(http://www.radioparadise.com). I used to be able to stream this just
fine from http://www.radioparadise.com/musiclinks/rp_192.m3u, but now
all I get from my Duet (through SN) is "No items found in playlist". The
128 kbps stream (http://www.radioparadise.com/musiclinks/rp_128.m3u)
works just fine, but not the 198 kbps.

Anyone else seen this problem?

Yes, according to posts on the Radio Paradise forums it's been down for
a while and Bill is on vacation and unable to look into it. I miss this
stream as well.

The 128k AAC stream works and sounds better than the 128k MP3 stream
(your Squeezebox Server will transcode the AAC to FLAC on the fly).

Thanks, Didn't think of looking there.

Strange thing, though... I emailed RadioParadise and got this reply:
"-The 192k stream servers can only handle a limited number of
connections, and are frequently full. It sounds like the Squeezebox
reacts to an "all servers full" condition in the way you describe.

Sorry about that

The way I describe is that the controller simply says "No items found
in playlist"

Great. I'll try that. Thanks again

I cannot get that to work. My SB says "problem. Unable to play file
type for:". I am using the link from Radio Paradise' webpage,
http://www.radioparadise.com/musiclinks/rp_128aac-2.m3u

Surely it should work. The 128kbps mp3 the SB plays from
http://www.radioparadise.com/musiclinks/rp_128.m3u

Any ideas?

I'm not sure why it's not working. I'm using the default settings with
SBS 7.4 (since I lost all of my settings when I upgraded) and AAC
transcoding is working for me on Linux.

Aha! SBS... I'm trying to stream directly from the source to the
player. You go through SBS and get it converted there, I guess... I
don't use SC/SBS, only stream internet radio directly. So I guess it's a
no-go for me...

Thanks.

From your MySB web UI, click on Remote Control, then Internet Radio.
Scroll to bottom of menu listing to Search, enter *radio paradise*
The first station is Radio Paradise out of Paradise CA, I presume that
is it?
It is listed as 192k, but my player says 128k.

Interesting, using SC7.3 my Boom is reporting 192k for Radio Paradise.

BTW, don't forget that you can use the new MySB search for Internet
Radio stations from your player.
Player > Home Menu > Internet Radio > Search
This also will get you the Radio Paradise 128k feed. :)
